MetaTrader 4 MultiTerminal

MetaTrader 4 MultiTerminal is a new component of MetaTrader 4 Online Trading Platform, designed specifically for simultaneous management of multiple accounts. It’s an effective tool both for professional asset managers and for independent traders working with several accounts simultaneously.

The platform allows trading with several accounts at the same time without switching them.

The new terminal successfully combines great functionality, which allows effective handling of multiple accounts, with exceptional usability. The interface is similar to that of the MetaTrader 4 Client Terminal. It is very user-friendly, any traders already using the MetaTrader 4 Client Terminal can easily familiarize themselves with this new program within a few minutes.

+ manage 128 real and 10 demo accounts

+ open positions for all accounts in a fraction of a second

+ 5 types of trade volume distribution among accounts when placing a new order.

Getting started

To get started, you need to connect MultiTerminal to the server – go to “Tools-Options” and select one of the available servers from the list in the “Server” tab.

New order

Positions in the MultiTerminal can be opened using “New order” or “Pending order” tabs, depending on the type of order you want to place. When placing an new order you will need to set the parameters.

Also, you can open counter positions for any account . To do this, select the direction for the desired account.

All open positions and pending orders are displayed in the “Orders” tab. All trading operations data is displayed as a table with fields.

Pending orders

Pending orders can be placed using the “Pending” tab. Pending orders for all or some of the managed accounts can be placed in this tab. Every connected account is represented as a table line.

In the “Modify order” tab you can adjust all or several orders placed for one or several accounts. If only some of positions or orders should be modified, these particular positions or orders should be checked.

Delete pending order

To delete a pending order, use the corresponding tab “Delete order”. In this tab, you can delete all or some orders for all or some of the managed accounts.

Lot allocation

When placing new orders in MultiTerminal, a trader can choose among different methods of lot allocation:

  • Predefined volume — when placing an order a trader can specify the lots amount for each order and determine trading volume for each account.
  • Total volume for each order — the total volume will be used at placing of every order.
  • Equal parts — the total volume will be allocated in equal parts among all orders.
  • On equity ratio — the total volume will be allocated among the orders based on the equity percentage in accounts.
  • On free margin ratio — the total volume will be allocated among the orders based on the percentage of free funds (Equity) in accounts.

Closing a position

Positions can be closed using the “Close” tab. Select the trading instrument for which you want to close the position and click the corresponding “Close” button. It is worth noting that when you select a specific instrument, only those accounts that have open positions for this instrument will be automatically displayed.

Close By

An opposite position in relation to the given position is a counter position for the same instrument. If there is one or more counter positions among open positions, the selected position can be closed by the counter one. Counter positions can be closed using the “Close By” tab. In this tab, one can close a position by a counter position for all or selected accounts. Each connected account with open counter positions is displayed in a table line. If you don’t want to close a counter position for a particular account, uncheck the box with this account. To close a position, select it from the account’s popup positions list, then check a counter position in the list of opposite positions and press “Close”.

Please note: If the amount of lots of counter positions was different, the position with a greater volume will remain open. The volume of the remaining position (the number of lots) will be equal to the difference between the volumes of counter positions, and its direction and opening price (short or long) – will be equal to the bigger (in volume) position.

Multiple Close By

Multiple close of several counter positions allows simultaneous closing of more than two counter positions for one instrument. Several counter positions can be closed using the “Multiple Close By” tab. Counter positions for all or some of the managed accounts can be closed using this tab. Every connected account that has open counter positions and every open position are displayed in table lines. If there is no need to close positions for an account, this account line must be unchecked in the table. To close counter positions for a particular instrument, press “Multiple Close By” button.

Please note: If the difference between counter positions volume sums is not equal to zero, the operation will result in opening of a new position with the volume equal to this difference. The newly opened position will further participate in multiple close but in accordance with its opening time (earlier positions will be closed first), until either all positions are closed or the last resulting position is opened.
